The school accepts enrolment of students between the age of five and eighteen years. Eligibility for enrolment is determined by an educational psychology assessment which measures a student’s IQ in the range of 50 and below. The school can arrange for this assessment to be undertaken.
Students may also have additional disabilities which affect their vision, hearing, physical capabilities or Autism Spectrum Disorder and Down Syndrome.
Our staff have a wide range of specialised training which includes PEG feeding, emergency epilepsy medication administration, positive behaviour support and functional behaviour analysis.
Group sizes vary between six and eight students in the Primary Learning Area and seven to ten students in the Secondary Learning Area. Each class has one teacher as well as education support staff who work with all the students.
Additional support is provided where required. Our Allied Health Team which consists of a Speech Pathologist, Occupational Therapist and part – time Physiotherapist provide advice and support to all of our students.
The current enrolment is 60 students and we do accept students who reside outside of our zone however these students will need to be dropped off and picked up at school by their parents or carers as our buses do not travel outside of the school zone.
Please contact us either over the phone or via email regarding your child’s enrolment at our school.
School tours can be arranged but may be subject to certain conditions at the moment depending on Covid 19 restrictions.
